Road changes on Windley Street
We're excited to keep you informed about the upcoming development work happening in your area. Here's what you need to know:
What’s happening?
From Wednesday, 24 July 2024, we'll be closing the intersection of Windley Street and Champion Street. The closure is necessary to dig a trench and lay new wastewater pipes, connecting to the upgraded wastewater network through Bothamley Park.
How will this affect you?
-
Traffic diversion: residents on Thompson Grove and Windley Street will need to follow the traffic diversion shown in the map below when exiting their streets.
- Lane management on Champion Street: one lane on Champion Street will remain open during the day, managed by a traffic control team. At night, Champion Street will operate under a traffic light system.
- Duration: we anticipate the work at the Windley-Champion Street intersection will take approximately 2-3 months to complete.
