The sun shone as community members toured three new public homes that mark the start of dozens more already on their way for eastern Porirua.

Freshly-planted shrubs now line the boundary of a three-bedroom home and its two-bedroom duplex neighbours in Driver Crescent, Cannons Creek – all newly-delivered by Kāinga Ora build partner Pepper Construction on a section that for years had remained empty.

These three new homes are just the start of more housing for Kāinga Ora customers to be delivered in the next year. There has been significant planning work undertaken to ensure what we’re delivering will not only support current but future generations. This has included significant upgrades to water infrastructure upgrades which lays the foundation for new homes, whilst supporting our local Tāiao (environment).
